Fabulously friendly and excellent staff and family-friendly hotel.
Location was marvellous, atmosphere - family! Location near to a nice area, Halifax with bus stops very close by and the concert venue. Also, tO SURROUNDING AREAS AND GOOD QUIZ NIGHT. Good sized and fairly quiet units for £ 90 excluding breakfast. An electric kettle, central heating and a multi-channel television in the bedroom. A kind of great service.

Solo traveler looking for comfort
The bed was super comfy, and I slept like a baby. The breakfast served in the morning was a proper fry-up, just the kind of fuel I needed to start my day right.
It wasn't exactly the cheapest place around, but it was reasonable for what I got.

The Stump's got some stellar scran! The cooked breakfast was a proper fry-up, and the bar staff were super friendly. Plus, the location was spot on for visiting Shibden Hall and The Piece Hall!
My room was a bit of a letdown. The bed seemed like a trampoline, and the musty smell was hard to ignore. Not being told about after-hours access felt a tad dodgy for a solo traveler.

The stump is so pretty from the outside, and the location is lovely too! The waiting and housekeeping ladies were super pleasant to chat with. It was only a £6.50 taxi ride to the piece hall, made exploring easy.

The family room with shower provides generous space and a clean environment, ideal for resting after a day of exploration. Its cozy decor has a pub-like feel, contrasting nicely with the room's updated cleanliness.
Temperature control in the family room was non-existent. The heating ran all night, forcing me to crack open a window in chilly weather, which let in noise from passing cars. The furniture appeared outdated and could use a refresh, detracting from the otherwise pleasant environment.
